15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia

In the south of Ukraine we find the city of Mariupol, at the time, in the heart of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. ‘Centrallurgy’ dives into the heart of this monofunctional city to deconstruct the multiple realities that it engulfs. Combining location footage with archive images and collage animation, the film delves into what constructed the present reality of the city. Landscaped with the immersive music of Lubomyr Melnyk, the spectator is invited to take part in a journey of discovering the socio-political narrative that has shaped the city we see today.

‘Centrallurgy’ was exhibited at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia and screened internationally at various film festivals and events.
